Dakota Rose Sha-Wei Chen

Dakota Rose Chen is a current senior studying Musical Theatre at Piedmont University. She has a passion for storytelling through Theatre and Music, and currently works as a Character Entertainer at Enchanted Events for children’s birthday parties. Throughout her time at Piedmont, she has developed a similar passion for Costuming, learning from her professors and having the opportunity to Costume Design several shows. She is a highly motivated student with a desire to take on new challenges. Strong work ethic, adaptability, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Adept at working effectively unsupervised and quickly mastering new skills. Hardworking employee with customer service, multitasking, and time management abilities.

Dakota has been performing since 2020 and designing since 2023. She is set to graduate from Piedmont University with a BA in Musical Theatre in May of 2026. She aspires to work in the professional theatre world, whether as a performer or technician. Although her focus is in Musical Theatre, she has experience in many different fields. She has immense experience working in a Costume Shop as a Costume Worker, and has even Costume Designed multiple shows. Additionally, she has experience in Marketing, Photography, and Writing from her work in the Marketing Department.
